Duck Health questions....

Hey there,

I am getting a pair of Mandarin Ducks and I find myself being worried/paranoid. Its been a while since I kept ducks, and tho I never had problems when I did have them years ago, I find myself wondering now about their health.

Are ducks susceptible to the same poultry diseases as other poultry?
(i.e. chickens & Mareks, ILT, whatever else)

I'm probably just worrying too much, but I just want some piece of mind.

Ducks, geese, and guineas have a much higher resistance to disease than other poultry. And ducks, because they spend so much time in the water, tend not to get the parasites that chickens get either.

My ducks are so, super healthy, haven't had ONE problem with any of them (8)!

I had suspected they were hardier...at least thats what I remembered when I had ducks and geese before. I think from not having them for years my mind just went blank on it. So I really appreciate your help here.
