Duck Houses for Female Ducks- Nesting Space Needed?

When I get my female ducks, do I need to have a nesting space/place for them in their duck house? Or can I just have pine shavings on the floor?

I know some do offer nesting boxes. I don't and mine seem to lay, make nests, brood babies just fine.

Alright. Thanks so much! I will probably just give them a simple duck house to live in then, but if they want to make a nest they can easily find nesting materials. Thanks again!
