I recently had a white call duck lay some eggs and then go broody. She originally had 10 eggs but I went to candle them on day 20, she had 11 eggs. 1 egg was bad, and one looked like it was way behind the others. I figured it was two weeks behind, so I took that egg from her and put it in my incubator, figuring she would abandon the egg when the others hatched. She hatched her eggs on December 19th. The egg I took from her that was way behind, hatched today and the little duckling is doing great. She was in a breeding pen all by herself when this egg was laid so I know it was from her and almost two weeks into sitting on her other eggs. I am new to this but was wondering does this happen very often?
