OK guys. My ducklings have started hatching (3 days early). I now have 2 Rouen ducklings and 1 Cayuga duckling with 3 others pipping their shells and several others that I'm still waiting on. They will all be Rouens or Cayugas.

I'm going to need some help with duck names!

    Any suggestions???[IMG][IMG][IMG]

I had to wait a few weeks till there was some kinda personality to one of them.....that turned out to be Ringo cause she had a ring around her neck. Then the other names followed, Johnetta, Georgetta, Pauletta, see any theme here :) ? I see lots of folks go with themes........flowers, using the same letter, etc. Good luck, but I say wait a bit to get to know them.

My son was a big fan of the nickelodeon show "Toot and Puddle" when my 2 pekin babies hatched. I guess it fits [IMG]

I AM a big Beatles fan. I guess I should at least wait to see how many males/females I end up with. Thanks for the help.

When I got my first 3 ducks (2 hens and a drake), I named them Jack, Chrissy, and Janet after 3's company. A couple of weeks later I got a female buff duck, and keeping with the theme, I named it Lana (another 3's company character).

Then I hatched out a khaki from Janet & Jack, so I named it JJ.
Next, I bought a roeun to keep the khaki company. It got named Bungie because no matter what container you put it in, it was always trying to jump out.
Lastly, I had 2 hatches last Saturday. One had foot problems and kept falling over. We named it Tipsy. Poor Tipsy died, so we only had one duckling from that hatch left. It is now called Uno.

We named our ducklings after the TV show "House MD" - We have House, Cutty, Foreman, Cameron, 13, and Chase.

Finding gender neutral names is the tough part. It was easy naming the adults, but I wanted the ducklings to get used to their names, and I didn't want to end up with a boy named sue or anything like that..LOL.

I think I did pretty well with JJ, Bungie and Uno.
