Duck swelling in foot, normal for injury?

I have a 4 month old Pekin that must have gotten cut on some barbed wire, yesterday. She has a good size gash on her upper leg, where it meets her body. My main concern is that her foot started swelling with blood. Is this normal for a leg injury? I've treated the area and she is in a kennel but within her duck yard so she is still with her flock. Not sure if there is anything else I should do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Soak that foot in epsom salt at least 10 minutes ..... then apply neosporin ... and I would use vet wrap to wrap it...
and change twice daily....
vet wrap attaches to itself so its easy to use....
you might want to ask for use of an antibiotic for ducks.... ask someone who knows...
look up info on the net.... you might get some help there..
