Came home from church went to check ducks and saw blood on one, not a ton of blood but on her wing there was blood so I bathed her and took these pics. Then I sprayed the wound with MicrocynAH poultry care . and am keeping her inside to stay clean and dry and avoid the possibility of the other ducks picking on her.
It looks like a feather shaft got torn up or bit? Its not bleeding anymore (and was actually already dried up when I first saw it) I also have something called "hen healer" blue ointment on hand, but it says its for body, legs, head, face, comb, wattles. Which of course my duck doesnt have wattles or a comb anyway but this is not a skin injury its a feather injury I think.... Am I treating her correctly?
