Im thinking of getting a duckling, to be a house pet. I was thinking about a chicken (which is still an option) but i want advise and opinions. Are ducks or chickens better house pets? which are friendlier?--- edit: Ive decided on a chicken, for sure!

    I'll be in the barn!
My opinion would be chicken since ducks are messier, but

When I had ducks they hated being away from water and were very messy...

You may want to consider a goose also. I had one when I was in high school and she came in and out to go poddy. It was an African goose which make great guard dogs also.
