Duckling Breed?

Ok, round two of trying to figure out the breed of my ducklings. I’m starting to think they could be Muscovies because one of them has a slight protrusion out of the center top of his beak. He’s the one with the spot on his head. The other could be a Pekin or white layer but I saw some pictures of yellow Muscovies that had identical facial structuring as her. Someone had told me in my last post to find the hatchery through tractor supply co but I couldn’t seem to do it, so here we are again. I posted one of each and one of them together. Any ideas help! Thanks in advance.

That bill makes me think muscovy as well.

I'm not great at identification... But I think muscovies usually have longer tails than other ducks. At least, whenever I see photos of them I think, "wow, what a long tail!"

Yes this is true. I’ve just done some reading, though, and they seem to have a lot of Muscovy traits so far such as lots of tail wagging, trill sounding peep, and long nails. They also have a slightly darker shade of beak where it connects to their heads unlike my last ducklings who were Pekins. I’ll update when they’re older if I’m wrong!

That’s what I thought! Glad you agree, I’ll post pictures when they’re fully grown!

Gosh that's confusing. I've never heard of TSC carrying muscovies, but I've never seen a mallard derived duck with those bills. Either way, those are some precious babies you have there ❤

I didn’t think they did either but I’m almost sure they are at this point. Their little caruncles are starting to develop! Thanks for your reply

There are some ducklings I would like to get, and the person doesn't seem to know the breed... Mahalo in advance, if this is clogging it up here I can totally go make my own thread

Look muscovy to me
