he can stand on it. but his foot is hot, the normal foot is cold. its been cleaned and i put ointment on it. he is in a tote with food and a bowl of water. he is pooping

the wild life just called back, they wont help beause its domestic and there are no vets in my area that deal with ducks, if he lives perhaps he will like me after this...

Skin can heal and as long as there is no nerve damage or something worse it think he will do okay. Your biggest threat is infection. It's going to need to be kept clean. I'm not sure if starting antibiotics now would be a good idea or not.

The pic didn't look as bad as I expected.. Didn't look like any major damage. Can you tell if its just skin damage or if anything else is torn? Personally, I'd slather it with neosporin, keep her clean, and make sure she eats and drinks. I think (I hope) you will be surprised how quickly they heal. Good luck. You have lots of support here! its just skin as far as i can tell, any ideas on how to get the rest to go in the hut? i have 4 adult Rouen and 3 Khaki Campbell babies just starting to get feathers, in the pond, i have tried peas and feed but the adults just wont go... now the 3 little ones blast into the center with the bug ducks. its an acer earth pond with no fences.
