I thought i posted but I can't see my post. Hopefully it doesn't come up twice!
Long story short my 2 year old ducks had a clutch of about 10 ducklings. Out of the 10 we only had 2 survive. A fair few died trying to hatch and I found 4 outside the nest dead. I decided to take the remaining 2 that were barely alive and bring them inside. I really didn't think they'd survive but here they are 3 weeks later doing great!
My problem now is that they can't stay inside forever and my attempts at integrating them with the parents have been a disaster. The drake tried desperately to attack them, they were separated by some wire. But he went crazy.
When he couldn't get to them he tried to attack my chickens.
I don't have space for 2 separated pens. I can separate them in the one large pen but I don't think it will be enough.
