Hello! I have a 2 year old female Peking who has suddenly decided to become broody. She has been sitting them for about a week and a few days now. My question is the place she chose to brood is behind the chicken coop on the side the male rooster sleeps at night and I dont know if hes noticed yet (Or cares) but when and if her babies hatch will he try to kill them? Id really like to give them a chance but I dont have an incubator, nor the money for one. I know he is protective of her as if she is one of his hens but Im sure he will know those babies arent his but the Khaki Cambell drake I have. Im not sure he would like that either. Hes a might possessive bantam (enough said Im sure). Any advice would be most appreciated!!

    Thank you [IMG]

Well I never got an answer from here but I thought I would update incase someone else stumbled on this question too.
My rooster so far doesnt seem to want to come near the female duck and her attitude. So far so good LOL! [IMG]
