    Mom & Pop are a pairing of a Mallard & Cayuga roughly the same age. I didn't intend for these to be a pair, but Nature told me to wish in one hand and... well, out of the 4, I ended up with a male and female of different breeds. I'll take what I can.

    I'm quite interested in what their mature plumage will look like. Just like I was interested in what their down pattern would be.

    Lil Bit has already built another clutch of 14, and has been actively brooding them in an A-frame for roughly a week. This will be her first winter, and despite mild southern temps (by comparison), I wonder how she'll manage a late November hatching.
