Ducks Freak Out - false alarm, giant turkey vultures

    Some turkey vultures checking out my ducks.

    While these turkey vultures have 6ft wingspans, you can tell them apart from eagles and hawks by the way they fly (wobbly and wings in a slight V shape) and by their color patterns from below (black in the front and white rear-half of wing and wingtips). From all the literature i have read they do not eat live ducks, unlike the black vulture that sometimes will eat small or injured live ducks.

    I HAVE seen hawks and turkey vultures fly together in small groups so it's always good to keep an eye out.
