Ducks How old til they lay?

Stupid question how old does a duck hen have to be to lay? I have a cayuga and she has not started laying yet even though the pekins are already laying. So I am not sure if she is old enough yet or if they need it to get warmer out before they will lay then the pekins do. Any ideas?

Different duck will take longer or sooner to start laying. I just depends on the breed and the individual duck.

How old are they?

not sure about the perkins but the caygua we raised from a peep we got the week after easter so that would make her basicly a year old.

We got Cayugas last Spring around this time of year and they were laying in the fall for awhile until it got too cold (and all my ducks stopped laying then.)They just started up again last week.
