Ducks Odd Behavior

    My two ducks have this peculiar behavior, while resting with thier bill on their breast, all of a sudden they will lurch upward, their feathers all sticking up and make this strange honk, it really seems to startle them, even when they are in the water they do it, and while in water the honk has a whistle at the end.It's hilarious, I'm wondering if anyone knows why they do this, or what it means? I'm sure all ducks do this, since both of mine do, and they do it simultaneously.

    Okay, that whistle is a courtship display. Drakes do it to impress/show off to hens.
