Hi guys I'm new to backyard chickens!! I was just wondering do ducks need nesting boxes? Or do they lay on the ground? (In their house)

I do not know anything about ducks. However there will no doubt be someone here along shortly that can answer this question for you. You can also post this question in our duck section here on BYC.

Great to have you aboard and enjoy all your poultry adventures!

[IMG] Ducks do not need nest boxes but there eggs stay cleaner. And not to say you don't know any thing about ducks if you do use nest boxes you should not put them up high like you would for chickens. Good Luck!!!
