Dust bath for 1 week old chicks

    I know there are a lot of threads on this topic but i cant really decide on one of the many ideas. So with everything that i read i think im going to do construction sand, "non hazardous" soil (cant dig up dirt from the back yard because i previoulsy treated it for ants and mosquitoes) and GE. will this be good enough for the baby chicks?

    I usually don't worry about dust baths for chicks still in a brooder.
    I like wood ashes and agricultural lime mixed with the sand in a dust bath.
