Dusting momma for mites-Babies?

I have a hen with 2 three week old chicks. Need to dust hen for mites, but what about the chicks? I think they're too small.

Plus they get under her, will the dust on her bother the chicks? Never delt with this before-Help!

My one concern is powder getting in chicks eyes or nostrils.
I'm in SE Indy.

It's worth the risk if they have that many mites. You could use Adams flea and tick spray or dust; supposedly it's a little less toxic, and it works. If I already had the Sevin, though, I'd just go ahead and use it.
