dusting my chickens - help!!

Hi, i have 4 3wk old gold sex link babies, and I went to check on them just now and one was laying on her side and kicking pine shavings over her back, which tells me that she needs a dust bath, is she to young? And how do I do that in a brooder!!???

Shes not too young. You can put a bucket or container of dirt in their with them.

what kind of dirt? Garden dirt? I have pine bedding out in the barn that has alot of fine dust in it, can I use that?
