I'm so proud of my BSL pullet, Gwen. She started laying on Thanksgiving Day (due to a bit of turkey fear, me thinks!). Since then she has laid a total of 3 eggs, all in the nesting boxes. I was afraid she'd lay her 2nd & 3rd eggs out in the yard but NOPE: in the nesting boxes she goes.

She's setting a great example for the 3 remaining resident moochers.

My first two were found under the roost. I put one of them in the nest box and Elinor's been laying in there ever since. I did find one in the run one day, but the rest have been in the box. Marianne has followed her lead. She's laid 2 eggs, and both were in the box. What good girls!
