After three months of exhaustive research and interviews, ten 22 page presentation packets to the City Council, and three months after presenting the petition, the Eagan City Council and Mayor voted to overturn the current ordinance and allow backyard chickens!

If anyone would like to view or use our information packet to help with their petition to city council, please contact me at our Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/eaganmn.backyardchickens

The article that came out today can be viewed here: http://eagan.patch.com/articles/backyard-chicken-ordinance-gains-momentum-in-eagan

Thanks to those who gave me advice and suggestions from this forum!

Hey thats great. They really should allow chickens everywhere and they're way less of an anoyance to neighbors and guests (if u can call it even that) than dogs IMO....at least my dog.lol
