Hello everyone!
I have an 18 week old dark Brahma pullet that is squatting for our roo, I’ve seen him mount her and complete what looks like a successful breeding. Her comb and wattles are darker and larger than her same age “sister-wives”. I’ve included a of her head (Horse) and one pic of the pullet least mature (Peck) for comparison.
We feed Mile Four 18% Organic Grower Pellets, they free range for 2-3 hours most days. We live in northern Minnesota.
My question…isn’t it really early for a Brahma to come into lay? I was expecting them to start in October!
