Here's the thing - you posted thread asking people to join you in a symbolic demonstration. What is the purpose of your demonstration?

The website says "Vote Earth, Your Lightswitch is your VOTE!"

And yes, it does say Gobal Warming is the reason for the symbolic demonstration.

I have no problem with people wanting to be environmentally conscientious, but I draw the line with symbolic political demonstrations, ESPECIALLY when dissent from that demonstration is casually brushed off as untrue.

And, sorry, there is no possible way to calculate either a warming or cooling trend as far as climate goes. It is based on 150 years of records that have no control or valid scientific method. Just the accuracy level alone on the instruments used 150 years ago is enough to invalidate the data.

So, my final thoughts are this:

You asked us to join you in a symbolic political demonstration and then wanted people to keep opposing opinions silent.

stack of articles like the one about the expedition to measure the melting ice at the North Pole that is having troubles because of all the snow. Apparently there is so much global warming, they can't get a supply plane through all the blizzards.

I think there was also a recent story about a large sheet of ice that was claimed to have melted that was "refound".
