We have 4 Red Stars, 3 Dominiques. I was hoping for a Rhode Island Red, but I'm not that picky.

BTW, are you from Louisiana (noticed the avitar)? We moved here last year from LA.

Hi! I am a newbie to chickens, and we are planning on moving into the Tri-City area, as soon as we sell our house here in Colorado. I would love to talk to locals, in our area-to mentor me, and help me along. I want to know as much as I can, see set-ups and make connections. I am research phase, and have been for many months. As soon as we can sell our house, we will be moving to the area. My husband is from Marshall County, NC...and his sister is in Asheville. I would very much like to talk to people who have actually lived and raised chickens in the area.
