10 week old Easter Egger. We raised 2 from the age of 3 days old. The black one started crowing, so we know he's a boy. Not sure about this one yet.

How can you tell? I'm trying to figure out what I need to look at/look for. We have 4 chickens left (2 peeps didn't make it), and at least 2 of them are crowing. There were sold as pullets...

Different breeds tend to have different male characteristics, your Easter Egger has sickle feathers and saddle feathers which cockerels get. Also it has a three row pea comb (this ins't always accurate though, you can have Easter Egger hens with three row pea combs but cockerels are the ones that tend to have them).

Do you mean zoom in from the side? I have one posted from the back.

It's hard to see the blue, but I tried to circle what I thought were saddle and sickle feathers, am I looking in the right place?

Here is what I found.. as I have 2 that I'm thinking are roos cuz they have sickle feathers popping out!
