I have 3 Easter Eggers (they were sold as Ameraucana's, but thanks to reading this board, I now know the difference). I've identifed two of them as pullets, but the third one has me confused. She (or he) has different coloring, a different tail type than the other two, and her comb is wider. I'm hoping it is a she, because she's got quite the personality and we cannot keep roosters here.

Pippin is the one in the front:

What do you think? Is it obvious or do I have to wait till she/he is a lot older before finding out?

Looks like a girl to me, but I am not an expert. We have a female EE that looks very mean and sturn. It seems like if yours were a boy you would start to see some sort of comb at least [IMG]

I think you have 3 EE pullets. Her head is the same color as her body. Her tail feathers are straight. You can see a small beard and the green legs. EE roosters are very colorful and that should already be starting even at this age. Her comb is not large by any means. Besides she has the sweet expression of a EE hen.

You can see in her eyes she wants to be loved on. Give her some love!

Yes, I like EE hens. Roosters I can do without though.

She looks a lot like my Butterball. So I have to say pullet too. Did the green legs give them away as EE's?

Green legs, beards, pea combs & personality are the usual traits that EE have. Of course, the different colored eggs...
