My chicks are just under 7 weeks old, I feel like tHe Sussex is definitely a cockerel but would love some second opinions!

Hi, these SS are about to hit7 weeks. I have one rooster whose comb is so big there is no mistakes to be made at the same age but these “pullets” are show so much red that I’m starting to wonder if they are actually cockerels. Any opinions would be appreciated.

Look like pullets. Pics from the side are more helpful though. Hard to see size from the top.

Welcome to BYC!

The Sussex is now 20 weeks old, and doesn’t really look like a rooster yet… is he just slower to mature? Hasn’t crowed yet so if I need to make arrangements I’d like to before any starts.

I appreciate all the responses!
