Folks, my 1.5 year old Americana hasn't layed a green egg for several months. Thought it might be a molting issue. They other girls in the flock are the same age and have been laying ok. I don't think she is hiding them as I look around the compound regularly. Any thoughts on what is happening? How many years should the girls be laying eggs?

Usually chickens lay for about 1-3 years, depending on the breed. If shes not laying, maybe she is stressed out about somthing.

I was told that stress, but chickens mayl stop laying if are getting less than 12 hours of sunlight per day. Try putting a light in the coop.
