This is an easter egger that is 12 weeks old. No crowing yet - but the comb has me questioning that she is a he.

Darn. So disappointing that 3 out of 7 chicks are roosters... They were supposed to be sexed as female. I know that it is only 99% accurate, but that seems like a higher ratio to me.
Now to try to find homes for them...

Thank you for your input! This is my first go with raising chicks.

I'd be nice if city's didn't automatically veto roos, not all of them crow at the break of dawn, nor do all of them crow constantly as some people think they do.

I agree that city's should update their ordinances. I just need my place in the country where I can have whatever and no one can say anything.

where i live there are maybe 30 residents, and i have never had anyone complain, my neighbor has a dog that is louder than my roo, and my other neighbor runs some turkey barns
