Hi. I have two 15 week old Easter eggers that seem to be molting tail feathers. We are finding large feathers in the coop and run. I have 4 total chicks and the other 2 (a buff and another Easter egger) and they seem to be molting some but not in the tail? Is this a normal age?

There are multiple baby molts that can last up to about 7 months, most are done by 5 months, so that's probably what you are seeing. I would spend some time quietly observing them just to make sure no one is pulling them out. Hopefully your birds are still on a non medicated grower as they still are growing and need the extra protein.

Thanks! Yes they are on grower feed still.
