We are just getting over some major flooding here in Eastern, NC. A small town near us had 9 feet of water in the downtown area.

In the downtown area is a park and petting zoo.

They were able to save the large animals and actually had to turn the Bison out into town. So sad they were only able to save some of the poultry.
By the time they got the big animals trailered and out the rest was under water. As of yesterday afternoon 8 turkeys, a pair of India Blue peafowl, and quail were on the way back to Windsor from Sandspoultry. Needless to say there is a huge "warm n fuzzy" feeling going on here at being able to help out.
