I had a young chicken die last week, and the rest of my little chooks all appear a little runny.
Having only kept chickens since Oct last year, and suspecting coccidiosis, we took them to the vets, who on waiting the results of the poo sample, prescribed Baycox.
When I went to collect the medicine, I was informed that I would never be able to est the eggs from these chickens again!

I haven't given the chickens the medicine, as I want the results to confirm it is this first, but after sspeaking to the vet, this appears to be the only licenced drug available.
Yet on reading the internet, lots of people mention Coxoid which suggests not eating the eggs for 28 days. In the meantime I am treating for worms and adding apple cider vinegar to the water.

Where can I get Coxoid from, if it is still available, and has anyone else had the same problem?

    Thanks
