I am getting 3 eggs a day now, out of 7 chickens. They all are about 18 weeks.

The older of the 2 leghorns goes into the nest box everyday, and sits there for about 30 minutes. When I see her back outside, I go check to see if this is the day she will lay an egg? There is nothing there. This has been going on for about a week now.

If a chicken is an egg eater, does she eat ALL the eggs in the nest boxes, the one she sits in and the other boxes?? Because I still have the other thens eggs when I get home at night from work. But only one white one and it is, I am sure, from my other leghorn.

Or is she just not ready, and still practicing for the big event??

She's probably practicing. If you have an egg eater you'll probably find some residue or yolk in there. Chickens don't really lick the mess clean. They would also eat the other eggs. Give her a week and see if she doesn't lay.
