Eating grass?

Well the silkies I just got have been gobbling down some grass? Why!?!? My other chickens don't eat grass or I don't ever see them do it! These silkies are crazy little boogers!! Are they supposed to eat grass?

I had dh build a door to the outside in the run, just so I could free range to let them have their grass. Oh, the bugs too!
