Do ducks eat less as they get older? Specifically khakis? Maybe a better question is do they stop getting so excited and knocking over the bucket and wasting food as they get older?

Mine are inside still, so no bugs or grass yet. I notice that their pail of food is not very touched through the day and it hasn't been knocked down in a couple days(probably why I noticed). The water bucket is not as mucky either. They are eating, I can tell that from the water bucket. They are acting normal, pooping, etc.

How much is normal for them to eat? They are about 8 weeks and growing fine.

In my experience ducks tend to have growing spurts and when they do the tend to eat more. Once they become fully grown they tend to even out on there eating also when they go outside it helps on the Lessening of food consumption due to the fact that they can eat bugs&grass
