I have the feeder from ebay where you put the metal thing in a hole in a bucket and the chickens hit the lever and feed falls out. I have it on a piece of wood with a hole in it that is propped on 2 blocks. The problem is that only about 2 chickens can eat from it at a time. I thought about hanging it from the roof of the run but would it still work ok? If I have to I will buy a thicker piece of wood so we can put the blocks further apart but I thought I'd check about hanging it first to save $$ and having to cut another hole in wood...

Mine is hanging... Has a lid and only fill it half way because of the weight.

What size bucket? The bucket I'm using is 2 gallon and I'd like to be able to fill it all the way.
