I just put chicks and a probe thermometer under the my new ecoglow 20 brooder and the temperature reads 88 to 93, Is that warm enough? The chicks seem fine.

I am brooding in a plastic tub and I have a light blanket over it. The temp inside our house is 72.

I have the same set up and my chicks love it. The ecoglow is plenty warm for them because of the way it puts out heat. I have a lamp that I turn on for light and I turn it off at night. They get under the ecoglow and sleep most of the night with light chirping. In the morning I turn on the light, tell them good morning and they come out and eat breakfast. No problems so far. I also have mine in a sterilte tote and I dont cover it with a blanket. Helps keep fresh air circulating.
