I bought these hens as Ameraucana but apparently they can be mislabeled and actually EEs?
I’m sorry these photos are terrible they are super flighty.
I guess I can always wait to see what they lay but didn’t know if it’s possible to tell at this age.
The one with the Carmel/black chicken is a Sapphire Gem so it’s neither 😅 but the solo black one is one of the others in question

What makes you think so? I’m curious how to tell the difference.
Here is my article on the subject. Click the image to get to it.

Intro = = = = = = = = = = = 🐔❤️🐔❤️🐔❤️🐔❤️🐔❤️🐔 @TheOddOneOut is the only other person who I have seen touch on this subject. A link to her thread here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/th...hink-you-have-an-ameraucana-do-check.1421663/ She goes through all the basics. I wanted to go a bit...

Unless you paid $20 a pop for them, they're most likely easter eggers.
Not necessarily. All my Ameraucanas were $10 each. And I'm getting six more that were ~$8 a piece. It's much better to judge based off of actual characteristic of the breed.
