    Curious to some guesses...

Cutie is about 3 months old... (pooped right as I took the photo...LOL). Tail feathers are pretty much all black.

Daisy is probably about 3 months old, but she was a found chick, so can't be sure... She wouldn't hold still long enough for a good picture.

Both act the same...this is our first round of chickens, so couldn't tell you the difference between hen and rooster behavior. [IMG]

    Thanks!

  2. The first one definitely looks like a pullet to me. I would also guess your EE is a pullet by the paleness of the comb.

The first one was supposed to be an Araucana, but I'm guessing they are both EE's.

    2 votes for pullet...Yippee!!

I'm going to go the other way on the first one. It has saddle feathers, a curved tail, and boy-like coloring. I think it's a roo. Sorry! [IMG]

I'm on the fence with the first one too. second one pullet for sure !

the first one, built like roo, face like pullet. But, it was at this age mine started to crow. so, keep an ear out. I had one that had no comb either, just the design of its mix. It was a roo.

    good luck

I haven't heard any crowing yet. We have 6 chickens total, and they all sound alike right now. LOL

The first one... My EE pullet (forsure) has a tail that doesn't look like that.. I am gunna say cockerel for 1st one

2nd I think you can be confident she's a pullet

That 1st one though.. No clue but saying boy purely for tail feathers. I guess that shows EE's are VERY hard to sex!

Please DO update this thread when you find out! I am very curious!
