Anchorage Alaska
Being in Alaska I liked the idea of efowl sending my chicks from the closest place to me. efowl is originally in Minn. My chicks came from Colorado. All 16, (one extra, I hope it is not a roo), are doing awesome and efowl has a very high rate of correctness on the sexed chicks. But how am I to complain if a free bird is a roo?.

As a kid in Oklahoma we ordered our fancys from McMurray and there were dead chicks, Chicks with leg and kneck problems. And ALWAYS tons of roos in a batch of hens. If they actually got there. Try getting a check returned.

efowl emailed me on Monday the 16th. to let me know I should contact my local PO, which I did. On Wednesday at noon the Airport PO called and asked us to come get them as they WILL not put chicks on the truck. They actually take them into the bosses office and turn up the heat.

eFowl is a very shady, dishonest hatchery (drop shipper). They steal and use pics of BYC members' birds to sell their own crappy stock, which are not picture worthy. I know this from experience, they used one of my pics. BEWARE

I googled Buff Orpingtons and found the photos of...... Alot of pics there are from here. So perhaps they do not know that they have one of your pics. I know they drop ship, (or at least I think we are speaking of the same thing), A DAY AND A HALF FROM COLORADO TO ANCHORAGE. I would rather have the chicks come from closer and my Orpies are excellent chicks. Picture perfect and straight legged, straight necked. No poopy butts, no weepy eayes, no excessive sneezing. They do not make alot of noise. They are not picking on one another. The heat is at 80 degrees and they are not cold. I will let you know how many roos I got, but I have faith in thier claims of accuracy. Living in Anchorage I was VERY concerned about chick mortality and I have not lost a single one, nor are they sickly. They also did not add a bunch of unwanted chicks, that I was not set up to accept. I give them a 100%. so far.

But we can agree to disagree.

Since your livlihood is your pics I can understand your ire. Nice website BTW, I might have to start advertising my new insanity with a sweatshirt. Can you make one like my PEEPS pic?

But as far as the chicks are concerned. They are awesome. Stamp your name across all the pics you post online. Thier marketing department is not likely to use them that way.

Ok, I had no idea that they dropped shipped and there were issues with them swiping pictures, however, we ordered 10 golden commets and 5 welsummers. The arrive vibrant, alive and healthy. They are about 2 months old now. I had 3 get sick. I was able to use normal saline subq to keep them hydrated and saved 2 of them ( my son's chuahaha got to the other one). They are back with their flock and I cant tell which one's were sick and which ones were not. I have no idea what "bug" got them but they were on their sides and surely dying. So, I just wanted to tell people about my experiences with this company and they were positive. We were planning to contact them again, and I may do so but with a better informed picture of the business they run. Thanks to all of you.
