Hi - I have a lot of eggs that I sell (sold 16 doz this week), and I know of other people around with too many eggs for their families, but not enough to have much for selling. I was thinking of maybe coming up with some sort of egg co-op where we could gather all our eggs and take them to a place like a farmers market and sell them, or if we have enough "growers" we could be a place for local grocery stores to come to to find enough local farm fresh eggs for their shelves. Does anyone have an idea they could share about something like this. It is currently just in the idea formation process. Things that you have tried, or heard about, or warnings I need to heed, etc would all be appreciated.

Excellent question! I am one of those people that don't have enough to sell, but get a little too much to consume everyday. I'd love to hear what others have to say about that. But for some reason, I thought I heard (here in GA anyway) that grocery stores couldn't just sell any eggs. I think they have to be certified? Maybe little farmer's markets might be different, though. Not sure, but would love to know!
