I just hatched two chicks from our Barred Rock rooster with one of our Easter Egger hens, which lays blue eggs. Does anyone know what color eggs they can be expected to lay, brown or blue?
    Thanks!

Mine lays a light olive green color.

If your EE lays blue/green eggs, then there's a good chance her daughters will lay an olive type color.

Mine, too. In the pic below, which is a bit faded, colorwise, the green egg in the center is from one of my Barred EEs, as is the egg at the 6 o'clock position, just a different girl. These girls are BR over Blue Ameraucana. Light olive does definitely describe my Riley's egg (the center green one).
