i have 2 hens and i am not sure of the breed. Right now only one of them is laying. I have been getting 1 brown egg since i got them about a month ago. Today i went out to the coop and the egg was white, any ideas.

Post a picture of your hens there are may breeds that lay white and brown eggs.

I'd say the other one started laying.

Hm, do you think you could get closer pics of each individual hen? It is entirely possible another hen is laying who lays white eggs in addition to your brown layer.

A hen that lays a white egg has white... ear lobes. Look at the two hens, one will have red or redish earlobes, and the other will have white or very light earlobes. There's a better way to say it, but... I'm tired and that's how it's coming out. Bet you can sort it out though. Sorry so goofy today!
