I have an EE that just started to lay about 1 week b/f Christmas. She lays the oddest color eggs I have ever seen. They are indescribable. They are sort of a golden tan color. Anyone else have odd egg colors?

Well mine are a strange brown color with a hint of rose mixed in. I was disappointed because I was hoping for green or blue. I want to put my EE pullets (feedstore says americana, but I just don't know) with an araucana rooster so that her offspring will be truer to the araucana bloodlines.

My husband thinks mine should lay golden eggs due to the cost/return at this point. [IMG]

Okay there's about ten-twelve years of different colors that I went through.
I only have two species of chickens now, Marans and Barnevelders.
Alot of the others from chickens that I have sold or given' away.
