Hello! All of my gals should be brown egg layers. I've got Speckled Sussex, RI Reds and a handful of mixes (australorps). Anyway! I've been getting a nice variety of very light to pinkish brown eggs - but I'm curious about the occasional ones that are speckled! When I wash them, the speckles come off with a little rubbing. Is this just a defect? Is it necessary for me to scrub the specks off before using them? Thanks!
