Egg drops anywhere

I have 6 month old hens (3 of them) and they have been laying eggs for 1 1/2 months, which is great, but I find dropped eggs all over the coup. Is there a way to convince them to lay their eggs in the nest boxes? They only use the nesting box area to huddle in the cold weather

Do you have a fake egg decoy (like a wooden/plastic egg or golf ball) in the nest box? This helps them know where to lay.

Fake eggs do help.

Block of the nest area when they want to "huddle".. That shouldn't be happening anymore!

You can use anything that's that shape.

Photos of nests? They shouldn't be using nests for anything but laying. It sounds like they've picked up some bad habits, or the nests aren't set up to be appealing to them. Fake eggs (I use golf balls) can help to show them, "This is a safe spot to lay."
