2 years ago I got Buff orpington chicks from local feed store both pullets one died
and the other one once she started laying she started eating her eggs (hence the nick name) I tried everything golf balls, oyster shells, collecting eggs several times a day with no luck my husband wanted to just kill her because the other hens were following suite but I didn't have the heart to do it so I put her in with my daughters white silkie roo to keep him company and warm this past winter I recently got rid of some chickens to a friend and told them about her I told them if she started doing it at there house to do whatever with her WELL, I went to get her out and low and behold she was sitting on a nest and last Friday 8 lil bitty's hatched......3 buff colored, 2 black w/ 5 toes and beards, 2 yellow w/ 5 toes. and 1 Blue one 5 toes and beard....... guess mother nature fixed what I couldn't
