If I live in southwest Va and if I ordered some eggs to put in a bator, how far would you go to order the eggs. I am a new person at this. I have 14 eggs in the bator now, due on the 2/14 for a test run. A neighbor said I could have his lg to play with , so I will need some eggs soon, any help would be greatful.

Hi. I'm in Virginia too but up by D.C. There are lots of people in Va. that belong to BYC. Check out the Where Am I? Where Are You? forum and see if there's anybody near you. Picking up hatching eggs as opposed to shipping them is certainly better but people here get eggs from all over. Some have great hatches and others don't. I, myself, don't have any chickens at the moment. Good luck and [IMG]
