Egg laying number

We now have just ended summer time of temps in over 100. We are getting into high high 70's to low mid 80's. I thought in the cooler weather my eggs would be increasing. But im still getting about 7-4 eggs a day. my hens are 13 2 yrs old hens. I have 8 hens that 1 year. Now that's it cooler weather my eggs hasn't increase. I was expecting them to lay more now that its cooler days. I live in nothern ca.

The days are also getting shorter. That triggers a molting and they use so much energy and protein in growing the new feathers that laying stops. Sometimes it does not restart until after the winter solstice.
