I have four chickens, two of which are Cinnamon Queens. I was told they would lay early, and the one did! Just about 4 1/2 months. The one with the smaller/less bright comb has been laying fabulously since 11/26. Everyday I’ve gotten an egg from her. The other cinnamon laid an egg once. It wasn’t in the nesting box and I stepped on it when it was dark out! Ever since then, she hasn’t laid. I’ve searched up and down in the coop and the run, but nothing. Today she even did the egg noise, but I can’t find ANYTHING. She’s squatting all the time, and isn’t broody or anything. Am I missing something? Thanks!

Welcome to BYC by the way.
How long ago was the single egg from the "singing" cinnamon laid?
The song you are hearing doesn't necessarily mean she's laid an egg.
This might make interesting reading for you.

how long after she cackled was it till you checked, could be something eating them like a snake or even her or another chicken .. if not sounds like theyre still pretty young and winters slow, give it alittle time ..

I went out 1 minute after she started. Only reason why I don't think its an egg eater is the fact the other hen lays in the coop, and none of the chickens touch it, even after passing it several times and checking it out

She laid an egg in the evening of nov 30th! Just the one!
She may just be slow to start....or they are both laying, but only every other day.

Could always do a butt check:

Do you free range?

Oh yes, and.... Welcome to BCY! @Jenbuck
